Do you ever feel like
what you do is
never enough?
My “To Do” list is my personal nemesis. It strives for me to
Do More
Go More
Try harder
which usually leaves me disappointed with a list of unfinished tasks, feeling weary and feeling like a failure.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1
I now know to ask, “Who’s To Do list am I working on?”
whenever I begin to feel weary and like a failure. Mine or His?
We speak about this very thing in our June 2015 issue of Cherished Magazine – that you are enough.
What about you, are you feeling weary like you can’t do enough or are you resting in God’s grace that you are enough?
I will be linking to these lovely blogs.

I loved your question-whose to do list am I working on-mine or His? I need to ask myself that question more often as I rush around somedays too. Thank you for sharing this at The Weekend Brew.
Hey Mary. Thanks for comment and thank you for having me over at The Weekend Brew:)
Thanks for the reminder. I need to keep it front and center that being God’s enough is much more than my want to be more! Have a great week!
You very welcome Nikki!
Sometimes I do feel like I can never do enough. Or, not even my best is enough. I can be very hard on myself, which I know is not good. So, these days I am being more grateful for what my heavenly father is helping me to do. Nice finding your blog 🙂
Summer welcome! I’m glad you found it as well! God is always refining us and making us aware and opening our eyes. Thank you for sharing.
I like writing to-do lists because it’s a great way to get all those scattered thoughts organised. But once I finish I can be left with this overwhelming feeling of inadequacy and powerlessness… “It’s too much and I can’t do it!” But God says, “Don’t worry. I’ve got you. And you are already enough.” Great post 🙂
I agree…I really am not very productive without my to do list…it is when I notice the “To Do” list becoming a source of failure that I realize I need to take a break and really see it for what it is. Thanks for commenting…it means a lot.
It seems like this a lesson I have to relearn every day. Thank you for sharing this encouragement.
