Can I let you in on a little secret…I can go from peaceful and calm to feeling overwhelmed in like two seconds.
Anyone else or am I alone in the world?
For me when I catch that flutter of overwhelm (aka anxiety), I simply take a deep breath and say out loud “It’s okay”. Because it is okay…God’s got this or He is whispering that He never meant for me to do it in the first place. The deep breath and the “It’s okay” gives me a moment to reflect on just that.
Well overwhelm can happen because of situations beyond my control…however, it usually occurs when I have a flood of “To Do’s” chattering all at once in my head! Well panic almost sets in.
