Is there something you think you should be doing but you talk yourself out of it?
I know I have!
If you are with me dig deep. Did you talk yourself out of because it was a wrong choice or did you talk yourself out of it because you were worried that you couldn’t do it right?
That can so be me!
Just last night I was discussing with some friends how I don’t really enjoy playing games. The discussion came about when they brought over a box of dominoes and asked if my husband and I wanted to play a dominoes game called Train Wreck which I have never played.
Yep…that simple little thing caused me to take a deep breath. Breath in, Breath out.
I notice it, they noticed it. I’m working on it but my “go to” reaction is a slight panic and why???
I have dug deep in this issue and realize it puts me a position of “not getting it right”!
Sure, I played. I had fun. I made mistakes and it was okay!
Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You! Even in the small things.
I love linking up to these amazing blogs.
PS – I recognize the fear of not getting it right in other areas on my life too. Check out September’s 2015 article called Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You in Cherished Magazine.
And the awesome thing about it she won 2 out of 4, she overcame
Awwww way to go you! That can be so hard, but so rewarding. 🙂 I’m going to try to take your words to heart as I face this coming week! I recently moved to a new city, and have been having a lot of anxiety about establishing new communities and routines. Gotta try to get out of my comfort zone!

Thanks Sarah for your words. It has been awhile since I had to move but can certainly relate to the anxiety moving can cause. Be Bold – Be Brave – Be You 🙂
Hi! I just found your blog through Biblical Womanhood’s linkup. I, too, am a homeschooling introvert, though I greatly prefer tea to coffee! Thanks for this wonderful encouragement to do something that I would normally shy away from. 🙂
Thanks Julie…I’m glad you stopped by.
This is great! God has been calling me to bold and brave in different areas of my life. Glad to be neighbors at #RaRaLinkup today.
I’m glad you stopped by! Thanks for your comment. I love how God can use all sorts of people and situation when He is trying to stir your heart.
Visiting Next door from #TellHisStory — love the title! Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You! That’s fabulous!
It does start with the little things! Good for you!
I like that. I do that most of the time.
This would be a great quote for me to put up in my office at work. I’m a middle school counselor. Found you over at #TuesdayTalk

Hi Sheryl – found my way here from Coffee and Conversation – it was your title that got me. Great encouragement in this little post – thank you !! I live/love this quote “Courage is fear that has said it’s prayers” Dorothy Bernard. Story of my life!! I like your little bio on the side there – my link up post this week is titled Chosen so we might just have a few things in common.
Hey Tracey – Nice to “meet” you! And Yes with words like “You and I – we are uniquely ourselves, uniquely gifted, uniquely qualified, loved, chosen, here in this skin, right now for the beautiful God given, God breathed purpose of reflecting Him in this world.” from your blog post (http://waterintowineblog.com/chosen/) we definitely have something in common!
Thanks Lowanda – Hmmm…I wonder if I should make the “Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You” a free printable for my newsletter subscribers! Thanks for the inspiration!
I could write a book about all the things that I’ve stopped myself from doing because of fear, of being afraid I wouldn’t get it right, afraid of rejection, etc. I thought that being 40 now would help me kind of get over this but it hasn’t. The biggest thing right now – I’ve been putting off the Faithful Bloggers podcast because I’m afraid of not getting it right, fear of having to share my story, etc. This was a good reminder that I need to just do it! It’s time to be bold, be brave and be me!
Thanks for sharing Tishia! I speak on the things that I need to remind myself! Thanks for sharing.
Going outside of my comfort zone is always hard… I have to give myself that little extra push! Thanks for the reminder! Thanks for linking up at this weeks Welcome Home Wednesdays Link Party! Can’t wait to see what you link up next week!
